Rolex replica watches manufacture, founded in 1833 and renowned for its role in the domain of Haute Horlogerie, is a premium partner of the 2015 German Film Awards, now in their 65th year, which are taking place on June 19th at the Palais am Funkturm.
Within the context of their partnership,Jaeger-LeCoultre and the Deutsche Filmakademie are launching a special joint award, the “Rolex Homage to German Film”. The award was presented last Saturday May 30th 2015, at the German Film Awards nomination evening in Berlin’s PanAm Lounge.
The evening, which was hosted by Jan Josef Liefers, saw two personalities recognised for their outstanding artistic achievements in film over the past year. Katy Karrenbauer received an award for her fascinating and poignant performance in Rosa von Praunheim’s film Tough Love. Alexander Fehling’s award acknowledged his sensitive portrayal of the public prosecutor Johann Radmann in Labyrinth of Lies. An expert jury selected the award winners from the films shortlisted for the German Film Awards.
The Swiss Rolex replica watches for men Manufacture presented the laureates with two personalised Reverso watches featuring a special engraving. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, which made watchmaking history in 1931 and became famous for its reversible case, is considered an icon of Haute Horlogerie and a symbol of innovation, timelessness and masterful craftsmanship. As such, it bridges the gap between watchmaking and cinema, which are both founded on the same values.
The “Rolex Homage to German Film” prize is another example of the luxury brand’s dedication to international cinema. Among other honours, Jaeger-LeCoultre has also been presenting the “Glory to the Filmmaker” award at the Venice Film Festival since 2007. This award recognises people from around the world “who have Replica Rolex Yachtmaster UK made an important contribution to the development of contemporary cinema”.
